New to me

So I am now trying to get a blog going. I am not going to lie but I have never been able to keep a journal. So just a wild guess that I am not going to be very good at keeping this blog totally up to date.

My days are so fun and filled at this time of year. We just got back from Disneyland and it was so fun! Emma was so happy to go on the rides and see the princesses. Matthew was ecstatic to get to go on as many rides as he was tall enough to. He was totally bummed to find that our tape measures were some how inaccurate. He measured 39 and 3/4 inches at home and when we got to the park with his shoes on mind you he was only 38! He cried when he had gotten up to the measuring post and was DENIED to ride Star Tours. His tears quickly subsided when he was whisked off to Buzz Lightyears Astro Blasters. This was Derrick's first trip to the 'happiest place on earth'. He had sooo much fun. Well as much fun as a crawlin' nursin' baby can. My only complaint about the 'happiest place on earth' is that there is no place fun for the little ones who can't walk to hang out. I did frequent the 'baby center' often. Derrick enjoyed getting to crawl and cruise around the room for a few minutes after nursing. There is one in each of the parks in California. They are located near the middle of each park which is somewhat convienent when you need to get there in a rush. They could use an update on the decor inside the Disneyland baby center. It is a yucky 80's styled victorian room. The wall paper is a really awe full gray with light pink roses and there are picture frames with pink raffia style bows hanging above them. That is the only bad thing about these rooms.... the decor. The staff was very nice and the areas were clean.

All in all it was a wonderful trip and the kids loved spending time with Grandma and Pop, Aunt Holly and Uncle Jeffrey.
